Get to know Arlington County Board member Maureen Coffey, who will join us for the first part of the meeting. This is an opportunity for BSVCA Members to share with her some important information about our neighborhood, and for her to give her thoughts on issues in Arlington. We’ll also spend time in Q&A.

We will review for approval of the draft minutes from our March 2024 Membership Meeting.

Treasurer’s Report

Our Treasurer, Giang Dang, will give us a brief on our financial situation and membership numbers.

As a reminder, please renew – or join – BVSCA on our membership page. Dues for the 2023-2024 Membership Year (only $10!) are currently being collected.

(If you are able, please consider renewing for multiple years to minimize transactional burdens for our treasurer.)

Ballston BID

Our representative to Ballston BID, Allyson Ugarte, will share news from Ballston BID.

Arlington Civic Federation (CivFed)

Hear the latest news from BVSCA’s representatives to  CivFed, Sharon Valencia, Nick Klissas, Ken Hughes,and Robbie Woodsor.

Arlington Neighborhoods Advisory Committee (ArNAC)

Ken Hughes, our ArNAC representative, will provide an update.

Meeting Date Changes for May 2024

Randy Painter will highlight a change to our Fourth-Monday-of-the-Month meeting schedule. Our next meeting is:

– TUESDAY, May 28 (This is a Tuesday due to the Memorial Day holiday. It is also the 2024-2024 Elections meeting.)

BVSCA 2024-2025 Election Nominations

Jim Rosen will discussion on nominations and elections for the upcoming membership year. Elections will be held at our May meeting, and transition and new terms will begin in June.

Positions include:

  1. President,
  2. Vice President,
  3. Treasurer,
  4. Corporate Secretary,
  5. Executive Committee At Large Members (3),
  6. Arlington Neighborhoods Advisory Committee (ArNAC) Representative,
  7. Arlington Civic Federation Representatives (multiple, including alternates), and
  8. Website/Newsletter Manager (Communications)*

*This is a non-elected, volunteer position and members are free to express interest
