Ballston/Beaver Pond Retrofit Study Launched

The Arlington County Department of Environmental Services has just launched a study to improve and retrofit the Ballston/Beaver Pond stormwater detention facility. The pond is located in the near by Bluemont neighborhood just off Fairfax Drive, Glebe Rd, Washington Blvd and I-66. At Tuesday’s membership meeting will give a brief report on the Ballston/Beaver Pond Retrofit Study, and the first stakeholder meeting that was held this past weekend. Also we will have a brief survey for everyone to fill out regarding their own interactions and thoughts on the Ballston/Beaver Pond. County to Add New Fiber Optic Lines Along Streets in the BVSCA

According to an article by Arlington Now, the Arlington County Board is expected to approve plans to add new fiber optic lines along streets within the jurisdiction of the BVSCA. It’s the first phase of a long-term traffic management project that planners hope will allow more intelligent, real-time management of traffic flow in the county.
