BVSCA meetings are normally held on the fourth Monday of every month at various locations throughout the neighborhood. Check the agenda for specific meeting location. In 2021-2022 we expect meetings to continue by Zoom due to COVID-19.

Monday’s meeting is our last meeting for the summer – we have no meeting in August – so join us for to discuss regular business and neighborhood matters. We’ll also be joined by Bill Ross, Vice Chair of the Park and Recreation Commission.

Treasurer’s Report

Our Treasurer, Giang Dang, will give us a brief on our financial situation and membership numbers. June was renewal month at a $10/year cost! If you are able, please consider renewing for multiple years to minimize transactional burdens for our treasurer.

Arlington Civic Federation (CivFed)

Hear the latest news from BVSCA’s representatives to CivFed, Sharon Valencia, Adam Theo, and Nick Klissas.

Neighborhood Conservation Advisory Committee (NCAC)

BVSCA NCAC representative Henry Staples will share what is happening with NCAC.

Latitude Art Space Update
Don Russell of GMU will join us to provide a brief update as they prepare for managing the space.

Arlington Parks and Recreation Update with PRC Chairperson
Bill Ross, chair of Parks and Recreation Commission (PRC),
will give an overview about PRC and its focus.

This will be a good opportunity for us to engage with Bill on PRC’s perspective about parks, large or small, planned or completed, and consider how they affect our civic association.
